The National Foaling
Bank Statistics
Since 1965 the National Foaling
Bank has dealt with over 17,000 cases, bringing together orphan
foals and foster mares. If you think you have a problem just
take a look at the statistics behind these numbers. Mares and
foals die for a variety of reasons and in 2007 the Foaling Bank
dealt with 467 cases, details of which can be seen below. However
taking one year in isolation does not tell the full story, so
