 Since it's foundation in 1965 by Miss Johanna Vardon, The
National Foaling Bank has united thousands of orphan foals with
foster mare who have lost their own foal.
Every year hundreds of owners also call the National Foaling
Bank for help and advice on difficult foaling cases, twenty-four
hour nursing, and information about colestrum, milk replacements,
and special dietary requirements.
Remarkably, this operation has been run for all this time on
a "shoestring" budget relying on donations, sponsorship,
and a membership scheme to ensure the work continues.
